Throughout history, God has been present among humans in many forms. The most common that He has chosen is the Spirit form, one that we cannot see with the naked eye but remain aware of through faith and deeds. People pray to God in different places through methods they have learned over time. In Africa, the most common way to pray to God has been through Ancestral beliefs – the conviction that our ancestors are our connection to the spirit world and therefore God. In other parts of the world, people’s connection to the spirit world is guided by symbols, artefacts, and prophets. All these methods and means seek the same objective – to connect to God and find healing.

At Guta Ra Mwari, God reveals that he chooses to live among humans to bring people to Him in ways that He sees fit for them. In this way, God has been and remains the same Power that different people and cultures have seen in various forms throughout time. In Biblical times and among people of the Jewish and Chrsitian faiths, God lived among humans through Jesus and Moses. Followers of these faiths have detailed knowledge of events of healing and salvation when people followed God’s teaching through these vessels that He had brought before them. People of the Muslim faith also encountered God among them through works of the Prophet Mohammed. God (known as Allah in their religion) taught them how to live with Him and be healed from their troubles. Each of these religions have a religious way of life that God designed for them and that most follow to this day.

In Africa, God has loved us too and lived amongst us in Spirit and Human form as He has done before with others. We have witnessed this in Zimbabwe when God spoke in the Njelele cave where villagers would send harvest offerings and ask for good rains. The Voice would respond to those making the offerings and His message would be shared with the rest of the village upon their return. People would come from far and wide across the country and indeed southern Africa to make their offerings. Often upon leaving the cave, rain would fall and wash away the footprints of those who had travelled to the cave, all so that the path to it remains secret. If people followed God’s Will as instructed by His Voice, they would receive good rains in the coming season and reap a good harvest. The cycle would repeat when the next season starts.

As people started locating closer to Njelele, God left the cave and re-appeared in Human form in 1954 within a member of the Methodist Church in Zimbabwe. Elders of the church at the time refused to accept that God had indeed come and so they cast His Host out the church. The work of Healing people started at that point in the mountains of Buhera in Chief Chistunge’s area. A religion was formed and was called Guta Ra Jehovah.

The 1st Host of God in Africa.

God worked through this Host from 1954 to the 25th of December 1960.

In 1960, God revealed that he would depart at the passing of His Holy Host, an event that happened on the 25th of December that year. He promised that He would stay with those that trusted in Him and that He would return to them in 40 days. On His return, again in Human form, only 12 families believed Him and He was again cast out of His congregation.

God then formed Guta Ra Mwari in Bulawayo in 1961 and for 43 years taught his followers how to live a righteous life that preserves the Holy Spirit within each of us. Just as He did with Jewish, Christian, and Muslim faiths (among many others) God has created a way of life to heal us together with our ancestors at Guta Ra Mwari.

The 2nd and last Host of God in Africa.

God Worked through this Host from 1961 to 6th December 2003.
