So Many Blessings
So many blessings, soo many blessings
I lay my head when the moon awakes.
So peaceful even the stars are envious.
One of many gifts of being a Guta Ra Mwari child
I had sea of dreams in my previous life
When I was just a child enticed by wonder
Now I dream the dreams of gratitude.
For God has blessed me beyond the ocean’s boundaries.
When the sun reigns and the world surrenders to its daily chaos
My feet are on a mission with God’s guidance.
I’m never lost in wakefulness
Nor in the depths of my existence hidden in my subconscious.
Praise be to God! My praise forever limitless
These tears don’t belong to heartache, I’m joyous!
So many blessings, soo many blessings
Showered like steady rain all over the patient hearts
This story has a beginning but is endless
This not a song of one but many
When did it begin? Where did it begin?
A piece of that memory lies in 1961
