of events, her struggles ceased, and her journey as a devoted soldier of God began.
The Power of Faith and Miracles
The Heroine Laiza Tayali's story is woven with threads of faith, courage, and the power of prayer. Her dedication to God was unwavering, and her heart overflowed with love and compassion. On 31 January 1961, a night that would be etched in history forever, something extraordinary happened during one of
their usual prayer sessions. The Holy Spirit descended into the Second Holy Host, and the voice of God spoke through him, saying, "Sengiphenduke yimi uNkulunkulu wezizwe zonke, vuka senze umsebenzi waMi".
God having revealed himself through the 2nd Holy Host she was courageous throughout. Even though she was mocked by others saying “Your God that you keep in your home”. (Combine Volumes: 1).
She continued to attend services even though she was hated. She obeyed God's words, which says, “Akula sifuyo esingathi “ungangenzinjalo” kumini waso uma esefuna ukusithengisa loba ukusibulala. Umnikazi wesibaya uyakhetha esimjabulisayo”. (Combine Volumes: 1).
Every parent knows the immense pain of a child's suffering. It hurts. It's heart-breaking. It's traumatic. It's not easy. In the (Combine Volumes: 1) it says on a certain Thursday, the Heroine Laiza Tayali returned from the Thursday service and heard a commotion coming from their home in 43 R Square, Mzilikazi and it was Ania and Phoebe who were being attacked. After changing out of the Holy Armour, she then headed to their aid where she found Pheobe pinned to the ground with her neck.

A Legacy That Lives On
When they were preparing to go to the Promise service, Evangelist B.B Chimoto said the 2nd Holy Host asked with whom the child will remain with? They were surprised because they expected the child to stay with her grandmother (Mama Laiza Tayali). He asked again, but Evangelist B.B. Chimoto noticed that as they passed people on the road those who were on bicycles would dismount and would remove hats
as if a car passing was carrying a corpse. This was strange, but he dismissed it. Even after the service had ended the Heroine Laiza Tayali, was seen sitting among the people, which was very unusual.
When she returned home, she collapsed and was taken to the hospital. Upon arrival at the hospital, she had already passed away, still dressed in the Holy Armour. Evangelist B.B Chimoto said when the news was shared, the 2nd Holy Host said “Livele latshona lingelaye”. It became clear that the question they had been asked in the morning about with whom the child would remain with was because the Heroine Laiza Tayali was going to pass away. It was already seen in spirit. He also noticed that the people dismounting from their bicycles was a sign that the Heroine Laiza Tayali had departed. It became clear to them that she had already left them even before her departure.
The Heroine Laiza Tayali passed away on the 9th of February 1975. Her final resting place is the sacred mountain of Gurure in Nyazura. May her humble, loving, brave, prayerful spirit live in each of us. May her memory be instilled within us as we strive to be more like her in our everyday lives. As we mark 99 years since her passing, we eagerly await 2025 - the centenary year of her remarkable life and impact.
